Dr. Mark Baldwin's Social Intelligence Lab

Welcome to Dr. Mark Baldwin's Social Cognition and Social Intelligence Lab, at McGill University!

Overview

The main area of research in our lab is social cognition, with a focus on the representation and activation of information about significant relationships. Our studies often involve questions about relationship security and insecurity, and how they relate to self-esteem and attachment processes.

Recent projects have focused on the idea that specially designed computer games might help players develop positive habits of thinking, to boost self-confidence and reduce stress. Information and examples can be found by following the links at the top of this page.

Also, some of the games are being developed for commercial release by the spinoff company, MindHabits Inc., which can be visited here.
