A look back at Bravo
The Bravo gala is a celebration hosted by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) each spring to honour McGill researchers who have won distinguished prizes and awards in the previous calendar year. Bravo has grown and adapted over the years since its humble beginnings. The very first R+I event hosted to celebrate prizewinning researchers took place in 2006 as a small and intimate affair. Between 2006 to 2008, the event was known as the Applause before being renamed to Bravo. As the years progressed, the event expanded and became an occasion for winners to be recognized for their accomplishments in a celebratory gathering of over 200 guests including friends, family and the McGill community.
