PALS
Physical Activity & Leisure Skills
Are you looking for a fun, supportive, and ADHD-friendly environment for your child to stay active and build social skills?
You are invited to the Physical Activity and Leisure Skills (PALS) project—a FREE 8-week program tailored specifically for English or French-speaking children with ADHD (ages 7–12) and their parents.
While your child is active, you learn too! Our 90-minute Saturday morning sessions run simultaneously:
There are only about 15 spots still available for this fall.

The mission of the PALS program is to encourage children and adolescents with ADHD in Montréal to participate in physical activity and leisure. It was created to directly address the lack of community-based physical activity resources for youth with ADHD.
PALS was developed by Dr. William Harvey (McGill University) and Dr. Shawn Wilkinson (Concordia University). The program bridges academic research and community action, collaborating with physical education, health, and therapeutic recreation professionals, alongside student volunteers from:
We operate through the Choices in Health, Action, Motivation, Pedagogy and Skills (CHAMPS) physical activity research lab at McGill University. Dr. Harvey brings over 30 years of clinical and research experience from McGill and the Douglas Mental Health University Institute to ensure a supportive environment for your family.
PALS is a community resource first and a research project second. Our long-term vision relies on a community-based participatory framework involving close collaboration between families, researchers, and stakeholders.
The PALS Project is proudly developed and sustained through the generous support of our community sponsor, the Fondation Head2Core Foundation.
