Biography: 

Dr. Basile Tessier-Cloutier completed his medical training at McGill University in Montreal and later moved to Vancouver to begin his residency training in Anatomical Pathology at the University of British Columbia. Under the supervision of Dr. David Huntsman, he completed a research fellowship at the British Columbia Cancer Agency Research Centre where he studied potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers to help resolve diagnostic conundrum in Anatomical Pathology. He then completed a fellowship in gynecologic pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NY, USA). He is currently a clinician-investigator at the MUHC/RI-MUHC and the Research Lead of the Pathology Residency Program. He has published over 70 original research articles to date. 

Current research: 

Clinicopathologic and molecular characterization of SWI/SNF-deficient gynecologic malignancies using next-generation sequencing.
