Come visit First Peoples’ House and discover the community, resources, and support available to Indigenous students at McGill!
First Peoples’ House has been creating a “home away from home” for Indigenous students at McGill since 1997. For nearly 30 years, First Peoples’ House has been a welcoming space where First Nations, Inuit and Métis students can find community, connect with their cultures, access support, and build lasting connections throughout their time at McGill.
Whether you’re exploring your options, preparing to apply, or have already applied to McGill, this is your chance to meet Indigenous students, connect with staff, get answers to your questions, and learn about the support available to you in a space designed to support you
What to Expect
Kick off the morning by getting to know the First Peoples’ House team and learning about the many resources available to support you at McGill, including funding opportunities, housing, student services, and more.
Next, hear directly from Indigenous students at McGill share their experiences and perspectives on student life, followed by an opportunity to connect, ask questions, and learn more about what it’s like to be an Indigenous student at McGill.
We’ll wrap up the morning with an optional campus tour, where you can explore McGill and get a feel for campus life.
Food and refreshments will be provided! Grab a bite, meet the community, and make yourself at home at First Peoples’ House.
