Intensive Low Intermediate (May Course)  *New*

The Intensive Low Intermediate module is intended for participants who have successfully completed the Beginner course or who have been assessed as having a sufficient level of language comprehension to enter this level. It aims to develop language skills through the acquisition of targeted vocabulary and the practice of professional communication situations adapted to the profile of the participants in the Mon Français program.  This level includes 15 hours of asynchronous practice and 40 hours of in-person communicative activities, promoting interaction, collaboration, and speaking practice. The learning experience is enriched by field trips and thematic meetings, organized every Friday throughout the session, to reinforce learning in authentic situations.

Intensive High Intermediate (May Course)

The Intensive High Intermediate module is designed for participants who successfully completed Intermediate 1 OR who are assessed to have the appropriate level of comprehension. Intermediate 2 will introduce participants to more complex seminar-style discussion and debate and provide opportunity for more autonomous engagement with French-language texts.  This module is designed with a more intensive participation schedule entailing 15 hours of asynchronous practice and 40 hours of synchronous, in-person activity (10 hours per week for 4 weeks). More formal activities will be enriched by outings and meetings on the four Fridays of the session.

Low Intermediate (September to March)

The Low Intermediate module will build directly on skills developed in the Beginner Module with further opportunity for peer-to-peer communication and level-appropriate work with authentic media.

This is a 20 week course offered in person at the McGill School of Continuing Studies (Downtown Campus):
