About Dr. Serhan:
Dr. Serhan is an executive consultant with deep expertise in spine and orthopedics, technology evaluation and development, and executive level management of large programs in complex corporate environments. He serves as Chairman for the Board of DisCure Medical and for the Scientific & Clinical Advisory Board at Intelligent Implants, Strategic Advisor for MDRisks and for Carthronix Inc, and retained Advisor for Pacira Pharmaceuticals and Rosiesbase, a subsidiary of Komatsuseiki Kosakusho. Past positions include Distinguished Engineering Fellow and Senior Director of Research & Technology at DePuy Synthes Spine a Johnson & Johnson company, as well as Assistant Research Professor with the Neurosurgery & Orthopedic Departments at SUNY University.
Dr. Serhan is the Co-Founder and Treasurer of the International Musculoskeletal Society (I.M.S.) and a Prestige Adjunct Professor at the Bioengineering Dept. University of Toledo OH. He published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 180 presentations, 11 book chapters, and over 100 invited ground rounds lectures and visiting professor. A prolific inventor, Dr. Serhan has more than 100 patents and applications. He was ranked 7th on the top inventors for number of spine patents filed between 2012-2017.
