Michael Strauss
Biography:
Michael Strauss is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. He is the Technical Director of FEMR, McGill’s electron microscopy facility. The focus of the Strauss lab is the efficient use of electron microscopy to address problems in biology. Mike's research focus is on picornavirus biology, including the determination of the mechanism of cell entry for these non-enveloped viruses. Lately, this has meant much of the work involves cryoEM using the methods of single particle analysis and electron tomography. https://strauss.research.mcgill.ca
