Dr. Jacques Archambault

Dr. Jacques Archambault is a Full Professor at the Department of Microbiology & Immunology since August 2016. Prior to joining McGill University, Dr. Archambault was the Director of the Molecular Virology laboratory at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montreal (IRCM) from 2003-2016, and former coordinator of the human papillomavirus (HPV) antiviral drug discovery program at Boehringer Ingelheim from 1996-2003. His current research aims to identify novel mechanisms and host factors used by HPV and polyomavirus (HPyV) to replicate their genomes. He is also interested in the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of viral DNA replication as potential drug leads for the treatment of HPV and HPyV associated diseases.
