The measure is used to assess a number of issues including perceived extent of recovery and risk of relapse that are faced by patients who are recovering from first-episode psychosis.

It should be administered to patients whose positive symptoms have largely subsided.

No but after the generating pool of items, the initial measure was administered to the patients and authors obtained detailed feedback on the understandability, clarity, specificity, length, and the reading difficulty of items. The final version of the measure was created based on this feedback.
