More than just funding

One of the cornerstones of the MIF is a generous funding package, divided among three levels of support: Discover ($25,000), Develop ($50,000) and Deploy ($100,000). But more than financial backing the MIF also operates a comprehensive support program, which can provide even greater value to teams in terms of advice, access and knowledge.

The goal of the MIF is simple: help move research out of the laboratory and into the marketplace, where it can benefit society. In this regard, it is irrelevant whether a team is focused on creating a company, or licensing their technology to another firm. The MIF supports all innovation, so long as there is a commitment to move the idea forward.
