CLASSES CANCELLED for Provincial Elections

Please be advised that classes, laboratories and examinations are cancelled on Monday, October 3, 2022 in all Faculties, including the School of Continuing Studies.* Note that students currently engaged in internships or clinical rotations should consult their supervisors and follow the specific requirements of the institution in which they work.

* This does not apply to:

  • students enrolled in the MDCM program (all years). Classes and other learning activities are not cancelled. They will finish by 4pm for Year 1 and 2 students, and Year 3 and 4 students will be given 4 hours to vote either at the opening of the voting polls or at the end depending on their clinical rotations.
  • students enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Medicine Program (Years 1 and 2 only). Classes and other learning activities are not cancelled but will finish by 4pm.
  • students enrolled in the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy (U3, QY, and M1 only). Classes and other learning activities are not cancelled but will finish by 4pm. M2s will follow the site procedures of their clinical affiliations.

Advance Polls

If you are a McGill student and eligible to vote, please note that you will be able to vote in advance polls on McGill’s downtown campus. Advance polling on campus will take place at:

680 Sherbrooke Street West
September 23, 27 and 28: 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
September 29: 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Advance polling on campus is open to full-time or part-time McGill students only (not staff). Students must present valid McGill ID to electoral staff upon entering the building in order to access the polling area.
