Got ideas? Let’s hear them!
Horizon is looking for bold community ideas to decrease costs, generate revenues, trim turnaround times, and increase satisfaction with how McGill works.
What it is
All staff, faculty and students can use the new Horizon Ideas Pipeline to submit realistic, well-thought-out proposals that aim to:
- Save time, funds or work while preserving/enhancing service quality;
- Generate new net revenue;
- Improve productivity or efficiency; and/or
- Make McGill a better place to work or study.
Proposals should be specific, constructive and actionable.
How it works
- First, build a strong proposal including likely benefits, challenges and resources needed.
- Include detail: Realistic cost estimates, implementation times, labour resources required, etc.
- Submit it through Horizon’s Ideas Pipeline webform.
- Strengthen your pitch: Upload additional data, reports or other supporting documentation.
- Lend a hand: You’ll also be asked to indicate whether – if your idea is approved – you’d like to be part of the team that makes it a reality.
- The Horizon Office will review your idea for completeness and feasibility and may reach out to you for more information.
We’re serious about making McGill the best university it can be, and our community’s ideas and expertise will be key to making that happen. No one knows our processes and procedures – or how best to improve them – as well as the people who use them each day. So share your proposal today – and happy innovating!
