The majority of funding required to support the HCIC survey initiative has been provided by Merck Canada Inc. Other financial contributions over time were received by: CHPCA, CMA, CNA, IMC and Huron Advisors Canada Limited. HCIC members have also provided in-kind support, such as webinar hosting. McGill University Data Centre leads the HCIC data management centre, maintains a roster of data use and manages data requests on behalf of the HCIC Knowledge Translation Committee. While Merck Canada Inc. owns the HCIC survey and its data, the survey questions are designed by consensus of the membership and all members have the freedom to use the data and disseminate findings with acknowledgement.

For additional clarity:

  • Pollara Strategic Insights has provided professional survey leadership for question formatting, questionnaire pre-test, data collection and collation since inception of the HCIC survey.
  • CareNet Consulting Ltd., led by Dr. Terry Montague, has provided survey oversight and leadership since 2011.
  • Strive Health Management Consulting Inc., led by Joanna Nemis-White, has provided project management support to the survey since 2011.
