Have you struggled to develop a clear structure for your academic writing projects? One of the biggest challenges academic writers face is developing a cohesive text in which the pieces are sequenced in a logical order.
Participate in this workshop and you will learn strategies for:
- Organizing your ideas and shaping your argument
- Structuring a piece of writing
- Working from a structured outline when articulating an argument
Please come to this workshop with an idea for a writing project that you want to outline.
This workshop will be led by Dr. Danielle Barkley, who completed a dissertation in McGill's English Department last term.
The workshop will be held on McGill's downtown campus on Monday, January 26, from 2 to 4 pm. Registrants will receive the workshop location in a confirmation email.
You may also be interested in a companion workshop, Strategies for Reverse Outlining, which will be held three weeks later.
Registration for this workshop is now closed.
