In-person class cancellation and work-from-home / Annulation des cours en présentiel et télétravail. McGILL ALERT! Due to freezing rain all in-person classes and activities on Wednesday, March 11, will be cancelled. Staff are asked not to come to campus tomorrow unless they are required on site by their supervisor to perform necessary functions and activities. See your McGill email for more information.

Winter 2016 3-Day Writing Retreat

3-Day Thesis Writing Retreat - Reading Week 2016
CURRENTLY FULL. Register for a spot on our waitlist.

Need to carve out a block of dedicated time to spring ahead with your writing? Struggling with writing blocks, "analysis paralysis" or a particular chapter? Think you might benefit from working in the company of other focused writers?

If so, the McGill Writing Centre and the Libary are co-sponsoring a 3-day thesis writing session for graduate students.

You will be provided with:

  • a dedicated space with limited distractions
  • a consistent writing routine to help you meet your goals
  • a schedule of breaks/stretches to sustain you
  • a community of peers across disciplines

Dates:

  • Monday, February 29: 9:30am-5pm
  • Tuesday, March 1: 9:30am-5pm
  • Wednesday March 2: 9:30am-5pm

Location: McLennan Library

Spaces available: 22

Note: Applicants are expected to attend for the full duration of the three days.
