SESSION #2: ISSUES OF FOOD SECURITY IN INDIA, KENYA AND GHANA
This session will focus on issues affecting food security in India, Kenya and Ghana. Results from the following projects will be discussed: (1) Enhancing ecologically resilient food security through innovative farming systems in the semi-arid midlands of Kenya; (2) Enhancing food security of rural families through production, processing and value addition of regional staple food grains in India and (3) Building Capacity for Sustainable Livelihoods and Health in Ghana

SESSION #3: CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE FUTURE GENERATION TO GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY
Students are increasingly taking on the challenge of Global Food Security and are working both locally and in developing countries on agriculture, water, food and nutrition research projects. From internships with nongovernmental organizations to graduate student research projects, these students are gaining valuable experience, expertise and understanding of the complexity of food security. This session presents efforts and ideas by members of the future leadership, called to undertake the emerging challenges of food insecurity and hunger.
