Biography: 

Mathieu D.S. Bouchard’s research focuses on early modern literature, with special attention to bibliography and the history of the book. His dissertation examines the editing of Shakespeare, Milton, Spenser, and Beaumont and Fletcher in the first two decades of the eighteenth century. His article on the 1714 edition of Shakespeare’s works is forthcoming in “The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America.” Mathieu is the recipient of a SSHRC CGS Doctoral Scholarship. He currently serves on the Council of the Bibliographical Society of Canada, and he teaches English Literature at John Abbott College.
