Day 2: Thursday, October 20th, 2022

 

09:00-12:00: Tours (by appointment): 

  • "Tour of the Emergency Department": a brief tour including the Legacy Wall (look for your name in the display), history, general organization and layout and the use of art to enhance the environment.

  • "Tour of the Glen": a longer guided tour exploring the art, architecture, history and innovative design that helps create a healing environment in one of North America’s most modern healthcare and research facilities. Hosted by the Art and Heritage Centre and made possible by the Friends of the MUHC.

11:00 – 12:30: Wellness Walk (weather permitting!)

  • Departure Point: Montreal General Hospital, Main Entrance (1650 Cedar, 6th floor)
  • Bring your own lunch!

Overall Objectives:

  1. To recognize our past history.
  2. To appraise where we have come from in order to appreciate where we are today.
  3. To assess strategies that will permit career longevity in Emergency Medicine.
  4. To propose our vision of the future of Emergency Medicine.
  5. To help us plan for the future.
