Thao Huynh

Dr. Thao Huynh is a cardiologist at the MUHC and an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology at McGill University. She is also a researcher in the Cardiovascular Diseases and Critical Care Axis at the MUHC Research Institute. She graduated from the Université de Montréal and completed her training in internal medicine and cardiology at McGill University. She subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from McGill University and a PhD in Public Health — Epidemiology from the Université de Montréal.
Her research focuses on knowledge translation in the identification and correction of care gaps in cardiovascular diseases, with a particular interest in improving the detection and treatment of heart diseases in women and ethnic minorities. She has collaborated with several research groups to improve the dissemination and uptake of guidelines for the management of atrial fibrillation and heart disease.
