Atul Verma

Dr. Atul Verma is a Professor of Medicine and cardiac electrophysiologist at McGill University. He serves as Director of Cardiology at the McGill University Health Centre and for the McGill Division of Cardiology. He is also the Isadore Rosenfeld Chair in Cardiology. He trained in medicine and cardiology at the University of Toronto and completed his electrophysiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
His research focuses on interventional solutions for arrhythmias, including catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and novel pacing techniques, with active participation in multiple clinical trials evaluating new technologies for ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He also leads a translational laboratory evaluating emerging ablation technologies such as pulsed field ablation, ultra-low temperature cryoablation, and needle ablation.
