Donald Doell

Dr. Donald Doell is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University and practices geriatric medicine at the McGill University Health Centre. Dr. Doell is particularly interested in dementia care and has worked with many of the leading experts in neurology, psychiatry and geriatrics in Canada.
Dr. Doell earned his M.D. at McGill University, where he subsequently completed post-graduate training in internal medicine before undertaking a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Dalhousie. He began his academic career as an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Queen’s University where he contributed to the implementation of several cognitive clinics in the primary care setting in the region while also holding important teaching roles. Dr. Doell has clinical duties at both adult sites of the MUHC involving outpatient and inpatient consultation responsibilities, where he is involved in teaching students and supervising medical residents. He is greatly enhancing the performance of the outpatient geriatric clinics and conducting quality improvement research in service delivery.
