The McGill Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Marta Kaminska as the new MUHC Division Director of Respiratory Medicine, effective July 1, 2025.
“I am quite excited and humbled to take on this leadership role within our very strong Respiratory Division,” said Dr. Kaminska. “One of my priorities will be to recruit the best clinician-scientists, clinician-investigators and clinician-teachers to continue growing the Division’s long track record of excellence in leading research, exceptional teaching and world-class clinical care.”
“To ensure the most relevant translational research, I want to foster the building of bridges between clinicians and researchers, between the clinic and the lab, and enhance our clinical trials capacity, expertise and leadership,” she added. “I hope to support the development of innovative models of clinical care and enhanced interdisciplinary teams, to ensure that we provide the expected timely and leading-edge care in key respiratory subspecialties to the wider patient population we serve.”
Dr. Kaminska succeeds Dr. Ronald Olivenstein, who has skillfully guided the division for several years. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Olivenstein for his exceptional leadership and the numerous contributions he has made as MUHC Director of the Division of Respiratory Medicine.
