Where is the Schulich School of Music?

McGill University’s Schulich School of Music is in downtown Montreal at 527 Sherbrooke St. West. It can be accessed via the McGill metro station on the STM Green Line, the 24 bus line, or easily on foot from most downtown lodgings.

Does the Montreal Summer Choral Academy provide housing?

While we do not provide housing for Academy participants, we can provide recommendations for affordable and reliable accommodations nearby. Many parking options are available nearby for those driving or commuting. McGill University opens several student housing options for rent to the public over the summer at affordable pricing – more information here. 

Does the Montreal Summer Choral Academy provide food/meals?

While the week of the Academy will feature receptions and social events, please plan to provide your own meals or to explore Montreal’s selection of restaurants with friends/colleagues.

Is there an option at the Academy to audit as a conductor?

Once all spots have been filled, a small number of applicants will be offered the opportunity to audit the ‘Conduct’ track.

Does the Academy offer a refund policy?

Refund rates apply to Academy Registration through the Tuxedo online platform.

  • April 1 to May 15 – 50% refund
  • After May 15 – no refund

Will the activities of the Academy be in French or English?

All activities will be bilingual, offered in both French and English.
