Julius Alessandro Xanthoudakis (BCom'20, MMF’25) has been named the 2024 Peter Christoffersen MMF Award recipient, recognizing his academic excellence and contributions to the McGill Master of Management in Finance (MMF) program.

A Montreal native with a background in finance and data science, Xanthoudakis honed his skills in market analysis and risk management as a strategist for Desautels Capital Management (DCM)’s SRI Fund. He credits the London networking trip and MMF’s collaborative learning environment as key to his growth.

From October 13-17, the McGill Master of Management in Finance (MMF) 2025 cohort visited London to explore one of the world's largest financial hubs. Arthur Deng MMF’25 shares his experience on this week-long trip, which included visits to historical sites, networking events, and meetings with alumni. Students were welcomed at the High Commission of Canada and the Quebec Delegation Government Office, showcasing London's diverse, inclusive culture. In finance, making money is the name of the game, and financial services professionals have sometimes been sceptical of sustainability goals that could undercut profits. But it doesn’t have to bee that way. “Realizing that financial systems could support environmental goals and sustainability goals inspired me,” says Mitch McEwen (MMF’20). A senior manager in enterprise sustainable finance at TD, leads the bank’s Sustainable Bonds program, and was named to Corporate Knights 30 under 30 for 2024.

In November 2018, students enrolled in the Masters of Management in Finance (MMF) program travelled to New York City to witness firsthand how today’s financial sector operates in a booming metropolis.

Over the span of two days and thanks to McGill’s extensive alumni network, students met with 12 distinct financial organizations that operate across a variety of areas, such as asset management, real estate, risk management, and private equity.
