Three Finance professors receive awards at Northern Finance Association meetings
Professors from McGill's Finance Area won two out of three awards presented at the Northern Finance Association meetings in Quebec City, September 19-21, 2003.
Professors Peter Christoffersen and Kris Jacobs, along with Steve Heston from the University of Maryland, won the Montreal Exchange Award for their paper entitled Option Valuation with Conditional Skewness. This prize rewards academic excellence in the field of derivatives.
Professor Susan Christoffersen won the Bank of Canada Research Award for her paper entitled The Limits to Dividend Arbitrage: Implications for Cross-Border Investment, with Chris Geczy (Wharton School), David Musto (Wharton School), and Adam Reed (University of North Carolina). The award was given to the best paper on capital markets at the conference.
