Veterans from Ste. Anne's Hospital invited in honour of institution's 90th anniversary

The Macdonald Campus of McGill University will host a special Remembrance Day ceremony in conjunction with the 90th anniversary of the Ste. Anne's Hospital for Veterans on Thursday, Nov. 8, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Approximately 150 veterans from the hospital will be on hand as representatives from Macdonald Campus and the neighbouring John Abbott College, as well as students from Macdonald High School, gather to remember the sacrifices and achievements of those who have served and continue to serve in conflicts around the world.

The Ste. Anne's Hospital for Veterans, the last remaining hospital administered by Veterans Affairs Canada, is home to 415 veterans of World War II and the Korean conflict. In 2005, in recognition of its expertise in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, the hospital was named the National Centre for Operational Stress Injuries.
