Kudos to Laurraine Leblanc!

Laurraine Leblanc has received a number of awards to salute her initiative in standing up against Couche Tard Dépanneur and its racist candy packaging.

She was awarded the Anne-Greenup Prize for the fight against racism by Immigration and Cultural Communities minister Lise Thériault as part of the Prix québécois de la citoyenneté 2006 in Quebec's National Assembly. In February 2007, she was featured in Montreal's Black History Month Calendar's Honour Page, and she also received the Rosa Parks Award from the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the Black History Month Round Table on March 3.
