Thursday, November 16, 2006 13:00to14:30
Chancellor Day Hall 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA
If a person receiving government disability benefits receives an inheritance, should he or she be disqualified from government support until the estate has been completely depleted? Why does either answer make us feel uneasy? Francie Gow (Law III) will discuss the divergent approaches of Ontario and Alberta and the distributive justice issues underlying them. Talk starts at 1:15 p.m. to give attendees time to heat up their lunches. Free pitas and hummus provided by Disability and the Law.
