2024 Annual AMR Symposium
The McGill AMR Centre is hosting its 4th Annual Symposium. We are inviting you to join this in-person event to network and discuss antimicrobial resistance (AMR) related topics, AMR community research interests and needs, coupled with live streaming of keynote speaker for those who attend virtually. Preliminary program includes keynote, faculty talks, trainee flash talks, career luncheon and poster session.
Keynote: Dr. Kate Baker, PhD on the "Dysentery over the course of the antibiotic era: from intrinsic to extensive drug resistance"
Dr Kate Baker is a Chair in Applied Microbial Genomics at the University of Liverpool and the United Kingdom Health Security Agency and leads Prokaryotic Research at the Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge.

AMR Symposium - Call for Poster Abstracts
All trainees (undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate) are now invited to submit poster abstracts via the online form. Trainees from McGill and other institutions are encouraged to present their work on all topics with relevance to antimicrobial resistance research, from fundamental, applied, population or social science disciplines. Presenters must attend in person on June 3rd.
NEW this year: Trainee 4-minute oral flash talks in addition to poster presentations. Early bird submission by May 17, 2024 to be considered. Final abstract submission deadline – May 24, 2024 at 11:59 PM. Places are limited, submit early! For more details
