Mental Health Self-care Intervention Research Program
DIRECT is a research program on the development and evaluation of self-care interventions using paper or web-based materials, along with trained lay coaching to increase patient engagement, for different target populations.
- DIRECT-sc: Self-care intervention for depression among adults with chronic physical conditions
- CanDirect: Self-care intervention for adult cancer survivors with depression
- Lay mental health self-care telephone guidance
Additional research led by colleagues has been conducted:
- PanDirect (Dr. Mark Yaffe): Self-care intervention for older adults with chronic health problems and comorbid depression, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- MPOWER (Dr. Hannah Schwartz): Self-care intervention for postpartum depression and/or anxiety.
- Coping Together and TEMPO (Sylvie Lambert, PhD): Self-care interventions for dyads of patients and caregivers facing cancer.
