BLOOM is a research program focused on youth mental health and resilience. Our aim is to better understand the onset of mental health issues in young people in order to help prevent them and improve access to specialized care. Our team of enthusiastic and dynamic youth navigators are currently looking for participants to join our project and contribute to this vital research.

What do we want to know?

  • Can onset of serious mental health issues (such as depression or bipolar disorder) among youth be predicted via early identification?
  • Can we improve the process of getting early help by training people and using specialized tools?
  • Is it possible to provide the right care at the right time and facilitate access to care?

Are you eligible?

  • Are you aged between 9 and 25 years old and have no mental health diagnosis?
  • Are you able to speak and read English and/or French?
  • Are you experiencing difficulties in your daily life? OR Did you have contact with a clinic (such as a CLSC or Aire ouverte) for your mental health?

What to expect?

  • Interview lasting 4hrs with 2hrs of questionnaires
  • Covering different areas such as quality of life, occupation, various symptoms, brain functioning etc.

*Please note that, like most research projects, we will offer financial compensation for your time and travel
