AMR Center logo

Booth #1

The McGill AMR Centre is proud to host EDAR7 and welcomes the AMR community to a rich program of scientific presentations, workshops and plenaries. The centre brings together a diverse scientific community that spans multiple faculties, campuses and affiliated research institutes, with expertise across the biomedical, engineering, animal, natural and social sciences. Our goal is to harness the expertise and creativity of our researchers to address AMR challenges and priorities through interdisciplinary research and education. We strive to foster collaborations, contribute to local and global leadership, and enhance training opportunities.

Aquagenx logo

Booth #6

Aquagenx manufactures and distributes simple water quality field test kits. Our AMR ESBL E. coli test kits provide MPN or CFU test results for ESBL E. coli in 100 mL samples. They demonstrate excellent correlation to standard culture-based methods in the WHO Tricycle Protocol. No labs, electricity, highly trained analysts, media preparation or membrane filtration equipment are required.

We specialize in water quality tests that are easy for anyone to use for field testing in low resource areas. Our products include microbiological, chemical, and physical test kits.

Our Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder is Dr. Mark D. Sobsey, who invented the Aquagenx Compartment Bag Test for E. coli. He is an international authority in environmental health microbiology and virology, and in water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Aquagenx is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina USA. Since 2013, we have shipped hundreds of thousands of tests that are used in over 120 countries.
