Milena Tomic is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in art history at McGill University. She completed her PhD in October 2012 at University College London with a dissertation entitled “The Past as Mise-en-scène: Re-enactment in Contemporary Art.” She has published articles and reviews in Oxford Art Journal, Art in America, Border Crossings, TOPIA, OBJECT, C Magazine, ARTMargins Online, and more. Her current research focuses on appropriation art in Eastern Europe as well as the intersection between art and biopolitics.
