This workshop examines, from multiple perspectives, issues related to the inclusion of Indigenous peoples on our campuses. The workshop provides historical and contemporary information about laws and policies, demographics, and cultural and economic realities. As of Monday, June 2, 2014, changes will be made to McGill's Anti-spam system in order to better protect the McGill community from phishing attempts and other email fraud. The new settings may cause some messages to be falsely identified as spam and quarantined (blocked from your Inbox).
How to know if messages sent to your Inbox have been quarantined
If you have not "opted out" of the Anti-spam quarantine system or "unsubscribed" from the daily digest, you should receive daily notifications from
McGill's Software Licensing site will undergo a scheduled maintenance operation on Thursday, June 5, between 7 - 10am. The system will be unavailable during this period.

Please be advised of a telephone scam claiming to be from WestJet or Air Canada telling you that you won "points/miles" or you are a "perferred customer". The call might look like it is coming from a McGill phone number. This is a scam and you have not won anything. This is an attempt to steal your personal information. Simply hang up the phone if you receive one of these calls.

A phishing attempt is circulating, with the Subject line: "Mcgill.ca UPDTATE". The message text states "shutting down some accounts due to congestion", and asks you to click on a link to "UPDATE".
Please delete this email immediately! Do not click on the link. It does NOT come from a McGill source.
It is a fraudulent attempt to gain access to your personal information. McGill never solicits any such information by email.
In April, we emailed you about the Heartbleed vulnerability and its potential impact on McGill. All of McGill’s central IT systems have been evaluated, and updates were applied where needed. As a final precaution, we strongly encourage you to change your McGill Password without delay.
