Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Secondary Science and Technology (120 Credits)

Note for Prospective Students from CEGEP: the Secondary Science and Technology program requires significant background in science courses to complete. We recommend using program prerequisite list in the eCalendar entry above and the McGill list of CEGEP to McGill science course equivalencies to ensure that you will have completed your science prerequisites prior to entering the university.

Students entering from CEGEP without having completed these prerequisites (or their equivalents) will be required to make up any deficiencies in these courses over and above the degree requirements.

Sample Registration Advice

Secondary Science and Technology Four Year Overview registration plan Secondary Science and Technology Two Year Overview registration plan

The Four Year Overview is a plan of study for most students in the Secondary Science and Technology program.  It allocates space for completing all of the requirements in your Secondary Science and Technology B.Ed. degree and schedules your field experiences in the correct semesters. Please note, students needing to complete a Freshman year will be starting in year 0, thus, will be following a five year study plan.

The Two Year Overview is a plan of study for students who have significant advanced standing (typically students with transfer credits from other universities), and assumes that all subject area and elective courses have been completed prior to entering the program.  It does not allocate room in your schedule for completing these courses.
