Charlène Puel, a McGill distance runner from Lyon, France, won a pair of medals and set a meet record to pull off an unexpected surprise at the 17th annual McGill Team Challenge, a two-day track and field competition held at the University's Richard Tomlinson Fieldhouse, Jan 27-28.

Olympic sprinter Hank Palmer of Pierrefonds, Que., will be among a handful of national team athletes participating at the 17th annual McGill Team Challenge track and field meet this weekend at Tomlinson Fieldhouse, located in the McGill University Sports Centre at 475 Pine Avenue West.
The McGill track and field team finished third of five teams, in both the men's and women's divisions at the Laval Open meet in Quebec City, Saturday.
Alana Battiston of Toronto, captured a pair of gold medals as the McGill University women's track and field squad finished second of five teams at the Vert & Or open meet in Sherbrooke, Saturday.
