Americana 2015 organizes a panel entitled “Climate Action: Time for Dialogue and Innovation” which will discuss effective climate mitigation options in Quebec and throughout Canada.

This dialogue will launch the action plan developed by recognized Canadians researchers in order to mitigate climate changes. The dialogue will also highlight the initiatives and actions from the private sector and local governments, underlining the importance of the 21th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP21), to be held in Paris on December 2015.

Ambassador, academic researchers, governmental representatives and private-sector stakeholders will feed the discussion.

This panel is held as part of the Sustainable Canada Dialogues initiative, a research project counting with the participation of more than 60 researchers across Canada, and in partnership with the Association francophone pour le savoir.

It is supported by the Trottier Institute for Science and Public Policy through the UNESCO Chair for Dialogues on Sustainability, McGill University.
