About McGill International TB Centre

Founded in 2014, the McGill International TB Centre (MITBC) is a multi-disciplinary research centre dedicated to better understanding how tuberculosis (TB) occurs, and how to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Our membership includes nearly 40 researchers and 75 trainees from McGill University, across Canada and throughout the world. Since 2018, we have been a WHO (World Health Organization) Collaborating Centre in TB Research. Our research ranges from experiments at the cellular level to clinical trials, as well as policy studies, including economic analyses and modelling of TB’s impact. Our Centre is uniquely organized to encourage collaborative research across disciplines, without walls or boundaries.
