Special instructions for students and staff during the Minerva site downtime (for the period of July 31 to August 4 inclusively)
McGill employee self-assessment
If you are a McGill employee (including student employees and graduate students) planning on coming to campus between July 31 to August 4 inclusively, please note that the Minerva site and “Self-assessment form” will be unavailable. However, during the period you are still required to complete the COVID-19 Self-assessment before coming to campus by emailing your responses to the following three (3) questions directly to your immediate supervisor. If you answer yes to any of the questions, do not come to McGill campuses.
- Do you have any of these symptoms: cough, fever, difficulty breathing, sudden loss of smell?
- Have you been out of the country in the last two weeks?
- Are you in contact with someone who has COVID-19*?
*If you have only been in contact with a COVID positive patient in your capacity as a healthcare worker wearing appropriate PPE, you can answer “No” to this question.
Student declaration of Covid-19 diagnosis
If you are a student and need to report a positive COVID-19 diagnosis during the time that the Minerva site and “Declaration of COVID-19 diagnosis” self-reporting form is unavailable (from July 31 to August 4 inclusively), you are asked to send an email from your McGill email address to deanofstudents [at] mcgill.ca. Please include in your email the diagnosis date, your current cell phone contact information, and indicate whether you are currently living in residence. If you are reporting a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, do not come to McGill campuses.
