I ♥ Advising event
The Students Affairs Collective hosted the I ♥ Advising event on Valentine's Day (February 14th) 2024 in room 370 of the Donald E. Armstrong Building from 12:30 to 2:00pm. The event provided advising and student affairs staff with an opportunity to gather, network and share gratitude with colleagues from Faculties and units across the university.
Guests were encourage to bring their lunches, and light refreshments were served along with some Valentine's Day sweets. A "leave one and take one" Valentine's card station was provided for attendees, and event participants shared what they loved most about their jobs in a word cloud exercise. The Associate Dean of Students Cindy Mancuso shared an exciting announcement regarding the return of the Dean of Students Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Academic Advising in spring 2024, and door prizes were given out thanks to the generous contributions from our event sponsors.

SAC Meet & Greet Garden Party
To mark the 10th Anniversary of the Student Affairs Collective, the SAC Meet & Greet Garden Party event was held over the lunch hour on June 13th 2023 as the first in-person post-pandemic gathering and celebration.
We took this opportunity to offer colleagues a well-deserved break form the busy registration period, to spend time with peers, to get a chance to know each other, play a few games and share ideas for future events for the advising and student affairs community.
Initially planned to be held outdoors in the green space outside of Burnside Hall on lower campus, the event was moved indoors in a classroom in the building due to rainy weather.
