March 23, 2019 Surgical Prehabilitation Workshop to Improve Postoperative Outcome

This hands-on workshop will deal in-depth with specific areas of surgical prehabilitation using a case or problem-based format. The Faculty consists of invited speakers and McGill University Faculty, all with extensive experience in their respective fields. Scientific evidence supports the value of a multidisciplinary approach to identify therapeutic strategies with the intention to improve outcomes and accelerate recovery.

July 2-3, 2019 Prehabilitation World Congress This is the third Annual World Congress on Prehabilitation. It brings together professionals in the medical and adjoining faculties to discuss the evolution and development of prehabilitation programs.

Les patients atteints d'un cancer qui doivent subir une intervention (chimiothérapie, radiothérapie ou chirurgie) récupèrent mieux s'ils se préparent en conséquence quatre semaines avant leur opération, affirme Francesco Carli, anesthésiste et président du Programme péri-opératoire (POP), offert au Centre universitaire de santé McGill (CUSM). Ce programme aide les patients à optimiser leur récupération et leur convalescence.
