"Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McGill University."

Our department is a vigorous academic department dedicated to education, research, clinical services, and to women’s health. General and subspecialty services are provided through a large network of hospitals including the McGill University Health Centre, CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal including the Jewish General Hospital, CIUSSS de l'Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal including St. Mary’s Hospital, LaSalle General Hospital, and Lakeshore General Hospital, and CSSS de Gatineau.

We are devoted to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Our Obstetric and Gynecology Residency Program as well as the Subspecialty Residency Programs in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility are accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The Fellowship programs offered are Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, Advanced Ultrasound, and Genetics in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The department offers a wide range of fertility treatments including Fertility Preservation for women at risk of losing their fertility due to chemotherapy or radiotherapy, Fetal Therapy, and Robotic-Assisted Gynecology Oncologic Surgery.

Research is an important aspect of the department and it includes basic, translational, epidemiology, and clinical research. We are particularly proud that our graduates have a track record of becoming experts and leaders nationally and internationally.
