MD Recruitment: Eligibility for licensure in Quebec as a professor at McGill University

FULL LICENSE MUST HAVE:
MD: Quebec
Immigration: if required
Residency: Quebec, Canada or US (US trainees must required a recognition of their postgraduate medical training)
Exams: -Family Medicine (College of Family Physicians of Canada + LMCC from the Medical Council of Canada)
OR
-Specialty exams (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and eventually * LMCC from the Medical Council of Canada)
-ALDO Educational activity
-OQLF French Exam (McGill MD's must pass French Exam to be licensed)

 

FULL LICENSE (Temporary license possible but must pass OLF exam within 4 years) MUST HAVE:
MD: Canada
Immigration: if required
Residency: Quebec, Canada or US (US trainees must required a recognition of their postgraduate medical training)

PROFESSEURS SÉLECTIONNÉS MUST HAVE RESTRICTIVE LICENSE:
MD: Foreign (non Canadian)
Immigration: if required
Residency: Canada or US or Foreign
Exams: - Equivalence for CFPC, RCPSC, or US Boards or Foreign Board Certificate
-ALDO Educational activity
-active practice (at least 12 months in the prior 2 years)
-letter of support from the Dean
-must pass OQLF exam within 4 years

*Will be required for all candidates who began their training after July 1, 2009
