  • Dynamic chemotherapy effects on hematopoiesis
  • Dynamics in gene regulatory systems

Physically motivated research includes:

  • Ergodic properties of infinite dimensional dynamical systems
  • The effects of "noise" in driving non-equilibrium processes
  • Understanding how totally deterministic dynamics can mimic what we customarily call noise in the physical world
  • The foundations of statistical mechanics, and especially the origins of irreversibility
  • The interplay between the physical world and our concepts of free will
