Dragonfly

Dragonfly is a 3D Visualization and Analysis software package for the intuitive inspection of multi-scale multi-modality image data. It has been developed by Objects Research Systems (ORS), a valued IQBI corporate partner. Thanks to an integrated Anaconda Python distribution, Dragonfly users can execute numpy and scipy functions directly in the application, deploy Python scripts that access Dragonfly data objects, and build their own plug-ins by leveraging the powerful image processing algorithms freely available in the Python ecosystem.

Dragonfly includes features such as:

  • Python scripting for total control
  • "Scout-and-Zoom" for efficient multi-scale
  • Extensive quantification toolkit
  • Machine learning based segmentation
  • Stunning graphics engines

Dragonfly is installed on IQBI-Workstation1 in the Bellini Pavilion, McGill University. The workstation and access to Dragonfly is open to the scientific community in exchange for a small hourly fee at $7/hour.
