From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

McGill Pension Investments

Mission Statement

  • Manage the investments of the McGill University Pension Plan (“MUPP”) within policy guidelines to ensure optimal capital accumulation for active plan members and to provide high security for and potential enhancement of pension payments for pensioners who have selected internal settlements
  • Manage the different activities of the Pension Plan including:
    • optimize the selection of financial investment service providers
    • manage the financial aspect of the plan including accounting, budget and day to day operations
    • prepare the required reporting to the Pension Investment Committee (PIC) on performance, asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring, compliance and risk measures
  • Report quarterly to the Pension Administration Committee (PAC) the performance and other aspects of the MUPP
