The Calendar of Academic Dates 2013-14 originally approved by Senate in April 2011. This document contains the dates around which all other academic activities are built; however, the information on this page is not comprehensive.

Fall 2013
- Classes begin Tuesday, September 3 (except for Dentistry and Medicine students – please see faculty schedules)
- Add/Drop deadline Tuesday, September 17
- Classes end Tuesday, December 3*
- Exams begin Thursday, December 5
- Exams end Wednesday, December 18 (10 days, including evening exams)
* On Tuesday, December 3, the normal Tuesday schedule of course lectures, labs and conferences activities will be replaced by a Monday schedule to make up for a shortfall of Mondays in the fall term.

- Classes begin Monday, January 6
- Add/Drop deadline Tuesday, January 21
- Study break from March 3 to 7 (some exceptions apply)
- Classes end Friday, April 11*
- Exams begin Monday, April 14
- Exams end Tuesday, April 29 (10 days, including evening exams)
* No make up day required; Good Friday and Easter Monday occur during the exam period.
