Health Services Research, Geriatrics, Equity
My research program aims at improving health care trajectories of persons with lived and living experience of dementia throughout the care journey, using mixed methods research (health administrative databases analysis with advanced causal inference methods, qualitative methods including focus groups, interviews, deliberative consultations and nominal group technics). I adopt participatory and intersectional approaches.
-
To measure inequities in health services’ use from underdiagnosis, to primary care, specialist care and urgent care use (hospital and Emergency Department visits) of persons with dementia across gender, racialization, socio-economic position and language.
-
To describe lived experiences of health care services use of persons with lived and living experience of dementia disadvantaged by their gender, racialization, socio-economic position and language.
-
To generate recommendations to improve the current situation
