Current research:
My research focuses on Hmong rural-to-urban migration in China. In my master’s research, I examine why Hmong individuals move from rural areas to urban center in Yunnan Province, and how they adapt to city life across physical, socio-economic, and legal dimensions. My study is grounded in qualitative fieldwork that combines semi-structured interviews, photo elicitation, and mental mapping.
